It’s not always easy to see aspects of yourself that you’d rather not know about. Feelings, thoughts, or even actions you’ve kept hidden from yourself, afraid of what it might mean to face the truth. At times people fear that the hidden parts that they feel critical of are the only true components of them. At other times, various parts are entirely denied.

While it’s critical to your quality of life to address these shadows, the good news is that you don’t have to do it alone. It is also true that you are not entirely made up of shadows, and somethings you keep out of your awareness are only problematic to you because once upon a time you did not know what to do with them. In our sessions, I will attentively listen and observe, compassionately attuning to your experience so as to help bring to light things you may not be aware of.

By taking an integrative approach—observing how the biological, psychological, and social aspects intertwine—we can work together to help you find a better, more fulfilling way to experience life.
